Abstract:

Objective

To explore the reasons of upper gastrointestinal bleeding caused by enteric-coated aspirin in patients with coronary heart disease.

Methods

The clinical data of 68 patients with coronary heart disease admitted to Chengyang District People's Hospital of Qingdao City from January 2016 to December 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. The specific reasons of upper gastrointestinal bleeding caused by enteric-coated aspirin were analyzed.

Results

In 68 patients with coronary heart disease, 38 patients had upper gastrointestinal bleeding, and the incidence of upper gastrointestinal bleeding was 55.88%. The dosage of 300 mg/d, duration of medication > 3 months, history of digestive tract disease and the proportion of patients who did not receive gastric mucosa protective agents were higher in patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding than those without upper gastrointestinal bleeding, and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05).

Conclusion

There are many reasons of upper gastrointestinal bleeding caused by enteric-coated aspirin in patients with coronary heart disease, including high dosage, long duration of medication, history of gastrointestinal diseases, and not taking gastric mucosa protective agents.

Key words: Enteric-coated aspirin, Coronary heart disease, Upper gastrointestinal bleeding, Adverse reaction
