Diagnostic value of vectorcardiogram in old inferior wall myocardial infarction

Objective

To study the diagnostic value of vectorcardiogram (VCG) in old inferior wall myocardial infarction.

Methods

Sixty patients with old inferior wall myocardial infarction treated in the First Division Hospital of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps from August of 2016 to June of 2017 were selected. Electrocardiogram (ECG) and VCG examination were performed respectively, and the diagnostic coincidence rates of the two examinations were compared.

Results

The diagnostic coincidence rates of ECG and VCG were 73.33%(44/60) and 93.33%(56/60) respectively. The diagnostic coincidence rates of VCG was higher than ECG, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).

Conclusion

The diagnostic value of VCG for old inferior wall myocardial infarction is significant, which can improve the diagnostic accuracy rate.
