Abstract:
Objective To explore the effects of health education at different stages on treatment compliance of patients after cardiac valve replacement.
Methods Sixty-two patients undergoing cardiac valve replacement were divided into control group and observation group according to admission order, 31 cases in each group. The control group received routine health education, while the observation group received health education at different stages. Treatment compliance, knowledge of anticoagulation therapy and nursing satisfaction were compared between two groups.
Results The compliance rates of regular and quantitative medication, reasonable diet, regular life and regular follow-up in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The total mastery rate of anticoagulation treatment knowledge in the observation group (96.77%) was higher than that in the control group (74.19%) (P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction rate in the observation group (93.55%) was higher than that in the control group (70.97%) (P<0.05).
Conclusion The application of health education in different periods and stages after heart valve replacement can significantly enhance patients'knowledge of anticoagulation therapy, improve treatment compliance, and have higher satisfaction with nursing effect.
