The influence of comfort nursing intervention on the negative emotion and comfort degree of patients undergoing cardiac valve replacement

Abstract:

Objective

To observe the influence of comfort nursing intervention on the negative emotion and perioperative comfort degree of patients with heart valve replacement.

Methods

A total of 76 patients with valvular heart disease who underwent cardiac valve replacement in the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University from April of 2016 to December of 2017 were randomly divided into two groups, group A and group B, 38 cases in each group. Patients in group A received routine nursing, while patients in group B received comfortable nursing intervention. The SAS, SDS scores, comfort scores and nursing satisfaction scores of the two groups were compared.

Results

The scores of SAS and SDS before operation in group B were lower than those in group A (P<0.05). The comfort degree score of group A was (77.29±5.17) scores and that of group B was (89.94±4.66) scores. The comfort degree score of group B was higher than that of group A, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).

Conclusion

Comfort nursing intervention can effectively alleviate preoperative negative emotions of patients undergoing cardiac valve replacement, and can effectively improve the comfort degree and nursing satisfaction of patients during perioperative period. It has clinical popularization value.
